MSG x 2 - Dead & Co
Man oh man, what a night! I might have been behind the stage, but I had the best time and the sound was amazing too!
Highlights:
“Cold, Rain and Snow” is alway a great opener!
“Row Jimmy” - I love the lyrics and John’s vocals beautiful on this ballad and “Brokedown Palace.”
“Friend of the Devil” - Featured a special appearance by Maggie Rogers. Honestly, I don’t know her music. I know everyone is crazy about her. She sounded beautiful on this tune, gave me some Donna Jean vibes.
The second set these last two nights have been nothing short of amazing. We got a “Scarlet/Fire” and “China Cat/Rider” in the same set! Mayer had an electric solo in Scarlet and Jeff brought the house down on “Rider.”
Johnny’s vocals were simmering on “Althea” along w/his guitar licks. Bobby shined on “Morning Dew.”
Maggie Rogers joined the boys on “The Weight” for the encore before John sang us to the river on “Brokedown Palace.” Robert Hunter would have been proud of the way Dead & Co honored him over the last two nights.
