Esther Day 2014
Sidenote: This will probably be very incoherent. Less a cohesive post and more just a collection of rambling that spews from my brainhole. So yeah, I apologise in advance.
Right, so, the past year (plus two weeks in the future) have been incredibly stressful. Immensely so. I mean, this is the time where society tells us that we choose what the fuck to do with the rest of our life. And it's been rough. I've lost sleep, gotten snappy at everyone, broken down. It's been hard.
But throughout this, I had people who made sure that it didn't get too bad. I always had people to make sure I was alright, to make me laugh and smile and ensure that things never got too bad.
So I'm making this post to say thank you to all of them. First, to my IRL Friends. Rachel, Amy, Cliodhna, Caroline, Joni, Laura, Hannah, Nuala & Kevin. You kept me laughing & kept me sane throughout this and for that I'm extremely thankful. And especially to my oldest friend Daniel, without whom I wouldn't know...anyone, really. I love you.
Next, my tumblr friends. To Rosie, Ellen, Jess, Lydia, I thank you. Whenever I couldn't talk to someone in person or didn't feel confident enough to talk to someone else, you guys where there for me. Thank you so SO much. I love you.
To my family. To my mummy and daddy and my two sisters. Thanks for putting up with me when I was being an annoying little shit. Thanks for putting up with me and trying to help me. I am so grateful, you have no idea. I love you.
Finally, to all of you guys. You've all helped me and kept me distracted, sometimes when I shouldn't have lo, but other times when I really need to be. I want to thank you all. I love you.
So that's my Esther Day post. RIA Esther. She told us all to love and so I shall. And every year on this day we prove one thing.
