Fall’s Reminder
"The month of gratitude" some call it.
Every single day should be spent in gratitude, however I understand the thoughts of thankfulness come in waves of reflection.
Today I am reminiscing on this beautiful life I've had.
I am so extremely grateful.
I started writing this on November 8th, but each day leading up to Thanksgiving I will write my most thankful thought down. I look forward to looking over all of November's daily reminders for what I appreciate.
november 8 - I'm so thankful for overcoming some of the most difficult hardships and making it out of the dark into a world of sunshine.
november 9 - I'm so thankful to be a part of such a close, giving, and caring community.
november 10 - I'm so thankful for such a goofy gang of girlies that I have the pleasure to live with and feel super close and comfortable with.
november 11 - I'm so thankful for yummy brunch dates out and about and calm nights with close friends, to share stories, play guitar, sing, and enjoy each others' company.
november 12 - I'm so thankful for funny moments supporting my roomie, like pie-ing her in the face for charity. And nights out in LA to ring in the holidays with friends.
november 13 - I'm so thankful to have the most amazing, loving, supportive, and caring best friend and partner. I love you Brandon. Thank you for making long distance just another adventure for us.
november 14 - I'm so thankful to have such incredible teachers to guide me and support me as I venture forward into the world (and graduate a year early!) Forever grateful for your faith in me as a person and the greatest guidance.
november 15 - I'm so thankful to be gifted with the passion for the arts and to dance among beautiful friends that inspire me every day. YES OPENING NIGHT! Let's have a great show week!!
november 16 - I'm so thankful for reminding myself how much I love dancing and taking class, even when it feels impossible to get up in the morning. And I'm thankful for my amazing dad and lucky to have him in my life... Happy Birthday :)
november 17- I'm so thankful to be able to work an on-campus job.
november 18- I'm so thankful to make time for myself to reflect on important things and just take some time to breathe.
november 19- I'm so thankful for my brother, sister-in-law, and mom to come support me in a show. And for my mom and everything she does for me, especially given that I have a difficult time always showing her my gratitude.
november 20- I'm so thankful to travel home for the holiday and spend Brandon's birthday with him.....I'm so thankful you were born 24 years ago today :)
november 21- I'm so thankful to call Maui my home and come home feeling as if I had never left.
november 22- I'm so thankful for my body and all the hard work it does for me regardless of how I take care of it. And I'm so thankful for my mind because it truly is my own. And I'm so thankful for my spirit and the people who have influenced it to be the way it is (the way I am).
november 23- I'm SO forever grateful for the life I live, the people in it, and the experiences I get to adventure through. I'm thankful for amazing food, recipes, and company. I'm so thankful to celebrate two years of love with my amazing man and best friend!! And I'm very thankful for all the people who show me love and care at all times no matter what.
I'm working on improving how I show all my love and care back.
Happy Thanksgiving! It's important to remind ourselves how blessed we are every single day, regardless of the holiday.
