in addition to pairings, the founding families have also asked each character to bring something meaningful with them that they are willing to part with in order to take part in something incredibly significant to the town’s history. why? a time capsule will be created during the event, titled with 2009 FOUNDER’S BALL.

characters MUST bring an item with them. if they do not, they won’t be allowed into the event.

they must also bring a handwritten letter along with their item that answers the following questions: tell us about yourself: what is your name, how old are you, and what is your history in mystic falls? why did you choose this item? what does it mean to you? 

please post a picture or simply describe what your character(s) decided to bring to the ball, and answer the questions posed above, in-character. feel free to make it as short or as detailed as you wish.

this is a MANDATORY task, and it must be posted by the end of the event, which is on AUGUST 7TH. however, please have the item that your character brought in mind already so that they may talk about it during the event and incorporate it into their interactions with others.

today marks our ONE MONTH anniversary of being open. we want to let you guys know that we love and adore every single one of you. opening a group and keeping it active for so long is hard work, but we wouldn’t be anywhere without you guys. thank you so much for your dedication to your characters, plots, and the group. we absolutely could not have expected the great reception that we received and are so lucky to have every single one of you here! whether it be canon characters or oc’s, everyone plays their characters so wonderfully and has fleshed them out in a way that julie plec could only ever dream of doing. in celebration of our first month of being opened, we have decided to surprise everyone with our very FIRST TASK. it has all to do with MOODBOARDS !

what are moodboards? moodboards are composed of gifs or images that describe certain aspects of your character(s). 

you can find some examples HERE and HERE. 

whether you do an aesthetic moodboard, gif moodboard, or both is completely up to you.

in addition to those, you may also do a relationship moodboard between two or more characters, which describes and showcases their relationship.

this is NOT mandatory, but it is highly encouraged, as it is a great chance to explore your character.
