Abarai Renji

I don't even know where to start and how to express how much I love him.

Renji is not only my most favorite character in Bleach, he is my most favorite character in general. I never loved a character THIS much and I never invested so much in a character from a series I like.

I had never been into a series where my favorite character never changed- until I got into Bleach in August 2006. Since then, I love Renji.

I fell in love with him the first time I saw him, when he and Byakuya appeared in Karakura to find Rukia.

I know a lot of people first didn't like Renji because he seemed to be an arrogant idiot, but this is what I loved most about him at that time. I liked Bleach, but I really got obsessed with it after Renji and Byakuya came to Karakura. I was really impressed by Renji, I loved his character design and is attitude.

I think Renji has one of the most complex personalities of Bleach.  I love his range of traits:  dorky, idiotic, a bit arrogant, he is also spirited, targeted, proud, passionate. He is not perfect. He has made a lot of mistakes but he never surrenders. Contrariwise, his mistakes make him more focussed and stronger. Renji is also very mature, caring and protective. Often he seems to be goofy, however, he is really good at finding the right and wise words to tell to his fellows. I think he is also one of the most entertaining characters in Bleach.

I am deeply touched by his past and how hard he worked to reach the point where he is now.

And besides this, Renji is one of the most attractive male characters. And to me, he IS the most attractive one. Unf, unf.
