"It's My Motto"
The younger women turned and raised a brow, her dark eyes full of confusion. Who was this man, and why was he asking her such a thing? She looked him over, his brown shaggy hair, light freckles and reckless eyes. She looked at the camera in his hand, she was never into photography that much. Her mother being a fanatic.
"Why do you need a picture of me?" She was still very confused, why was she so special?
"It's always been my motto to take a picture of every beautiful thing I see, but permission is necessary here." He gave her a nervous grin, hoping she would say yes. A light blush presented itself on her cheeks, moving her light green hair, she nodded nervously. She still didn't understand what made her so special.
"Hello miss, you look lovely tonight."
Turning to the voice, she blushed and smiled. She played with the hem of her blue skirt, she could feel her headband falling and her bangs coming loose. Flattening down her blouse, she mumbled a thank you and looked around the park. A picnic, her mother brought herself to many of them. She looked back at the male across from her, noticing the camera around his neck a small smile appeared on her lips. She adored his passion for photography.
Blinking as a flash blinded her, she ignored the urge to rub her eyes and gave a tiny glare at her date. She didn't appreciate how he didn't give a warning.
He gave her a grin, "I told you, I have a motto to take a picture of everything beautiful I see. And, when you're unaware you're the most beautiful, dear."
She blushed, once again. Really, what made her so special?
"You look absolutely beautiful,my dear."
Jumping she spun around, arms wrapped around her torso she smiled. "You're not supposed to see me, it's bad luck.. remember?" She played with the lace on her ivory dress, her heart pounded and she swore she was sweating like a pig. Laughing nervously she looked up at her soon-to-be-husband. Sure, 20 was a young age to be married. But, she loved the man before her. Oh, so much.
Pulling his camera out of thin hair, he snapped a picture of her. Grinning he told his reasoning, "I wished to get a picture of you with your before jitters."
Rolling her eyes, she laughed quietly and pushed him out of the room.
"Now go, you're just making the bad luck worse."
She was starting to see what made her special.
"No, no dear. Like this."
He adjusted the camera in her hands, she grinned nervously as he taught her his passion. You would think that photography was just shooting a camera and click, done. No,there were many more factors than that, there was the problem of lighting, setting and so much more. She listened as he rambled, smiling she did as she was told.
"Hold on a moment."
Raising a green brow she watched as her husband, she loved to say that, walk away. Raising her brow even more when she saw what was in his hand, having it placed on her head she was completely confused.
"What is this?"
"It's a hat, silly."
Shaking her head, she nodded. "I know, but why?"
"It looks absolutely adorable with your green hair, dear." Taking the camera he snapped a picture of her.
She now understood what made her special.
"I'm sorry miss..but, your husband didn't make it."
She stood there, nodding numbly. She thanked the nurse, grabbing her satchel full of her cameras, hat and supplies. She never left the house without it, her husband often joking that she was turned into a worse "photography-monster" than him. Her husband... it wasn't long ago that they were cuddling on the couch, watching their favorite movie together. Joking about children as they looked for a bigger house, it wasn't long ago that he promised to pick her up from the movies, his course would run late that night and she didn't want to be left in the house alone. He was running late and she was worried, where could he be? The phone call she received not long later answered that question.
Wandering around the streets, wiping at her eyes so often. She looked around, watching as the few stranglers laughed with one another. A couple holding hands, she was disgusted, how come they get something so special and she didn't? Was she really as special as she thought?
Looking up as a light blinded her, for a moment she thought it was her husband taking her photo once again. But everything went black before she found out.
