fantaPSI kusuo design… decided to make his main disguise an adlet (human-dog hybrid) instead of a satyr so now hes ouppy

okay… inhale… fantaPSI infodump under the cut.

in this au, kusuo is a shapeshifter. shapeshifters are essentially considered bad news all around— they’re widely regarded as untrustworthy and evil, mainly due to their ability to morph into anything and anyone they want with little to no effort.

and for the most part, shapeshifters are like that. they’re masters of trickery and usually use this to their advantage, becoming things like theives, assassins, etc. as previously states, bad news.

so obviously this creates a stigma for shapeshifters that aren’t immoral. like kusuo, whos very much the opposite of that. he’s one one of the very few shapeshifters that doesnt let their abilities get to their heads.

but he still has to deal with the stigma surrounding his species nonetheless.

so naturally, kusuo absolutely despises being a shapeshifter.

so to make up for this, kusuo keeps his form hidden from most of his peers by disguising himself as an adlet, which (in this world) is a lot more common and well-liked species. but kusuo’s body is naturally drawn to shift rather than stay in one form, so suppressing that part of him is kinda super bad for him??

id imagine that hed have to retreat to some isolated area every now and then to ‘get it out of his system’ in a sense, but it’s definitely not good that he suppresses it for so long regardless. but he hates shifting because he hates that hes a shapeshifter.

alsoo, as for kuusuke, i feel like he would definitely still have some strange complex towards kusuo. maybe he thinks kusuo would be better off if he embraced his true nature, but maybe maybe hed also misinterpret kusuos defiance as him being ‘above shapeshifters,’ which would make kusuke continuously try to like, prove that he’s also above shapeshifters but in a very different way. like, by trying ro become more powerful in ways that aren’t necessarily possible for shapeshifters?? or something??? i dont know yet but its certainly something
