My most ambitious build to date - The Swamp Witch's Hut. There are things I'd do differently now, but I can still say I'm quite proud of it. 😊

Finally sharing this! I have wanted for a long time to show my diorama in action: assembling it and changing it. So here it is! The timelapse/roomtour is a long video, though.
Also, I created a video tutorial on two types of furniture I did, so hopefully somebody will find it useful.
You can find both videos on my blog, with links to previous posts about the diorama project, and more tutorials: http://bit.ly/DioramaRoomtour
How to Plan Depth in a 100mm Enchanted Forest Diorama
Start this 100mm enchanted forest diorama as a depth problem before treating it as a colour problem. Dry fit the unpainted resin scene and decide how the eye should move through it.
Separate the foreground ground, middle woodland forms and the fairy into three visual planes. Keep the outer framing shapes quieter, give the middle plane controlled detail and reserve the strongest contrast for the figure.
Use the warmest light near the focal area so the scene remains readable even when the palette becomes complex.
The one-figure grey resin kit arrives unpainted and unassembled. Painted images are examples of possible finishes.

A diorama I've been making at a mini hobby group. The goblin and the spider are modified warhammer minis, rest is misc crafting stuff.
