I was re-designing a character last night and was struggling a bit with the wings, so I finally just did a whole study of all sorts of different style wings. It really helped me focus in on what I was doing wrong.

Last night I had a dream involving an epic showdown between two people infused with an archangel and a demon, respectively. The demon-infused guy had these giant handwings. Been playing too much Diablo 3, I guess, but I thought the design was really cool.
I had the pleasure of modeling with the lovely Pixi from solaswings.com with her newest, extra large cicada and butterfly wings.

These can be printed on a variety of fabrics, but were meant for a 2 yard length of chiffon to make a lovely diaphanous scarf. They can be put over wires to make fairy costume wings or just cut in a long rectangle with the edges turned under. They’re my original artwork and only available from my Spoonflower.
