DAY 8 of the Mystical Lands Project painting is "The Faraway Tree". As soon as I finished painting this I thought of the Enid Blyton series of Faraway Tree books. I loved Enid Blyton books and always hoped one day I'd find the magic Faraway Tree and get to climb up into it and visit the little houses. 😊 📚If you haven't heard of the books here's a little introduction: "The stories take place in an enchanted wood in which a gigantic magical tree grows – the eponymous 'Faraway Tree'. The tree is so tall that its topmost branches reach into the clouds and it is wide enough to contain small houses carved into its trunk. The wood and the tree are discovered by three children named Joe, Bessie and Fanny who move into a house nearby. They then go on adventures to the top of the tree."📚 Size of this painting is 7 x 5″, acrylic on paper and presented in a 10 x 8″ white fade resistant mount so you can pop it directly into a standard ready made frame.
