My Home Newspaper
Most of the time, I am proud to have grown up and currently go to school in my hometown of Moorhead. It's a decently sized town that's on the grow, with a great school system, a good amount of things to do and neat people.
However, then there are other times when I remember why I see myself living in the Cities in my future.
The Fargo Forum, the newspaper for the immediate area out of our sister town across the river, is getting absolutely blasted for denying a same-sex couple a marriage announcement.
Now, the Forum, like many things in this town, has a tendency to be a bit right of center for my tastes, most of which I can handle just fine.
But they are really going to have an issue with this, and will have to come up with a good answer and quick. With the Gay Rights movement picking up more steam than ever it is only a matter of time before the paper starts losing subscribers and has to face media scrutiny on a level that they might not know how to cope with.
We'll have to see what happens.
