Farr's Jewelers by StreetsofWashington Via Flickr: Vance Quimby Farr (1901-1995), a native Washingtonian, and his wife, Dorothy Mohlman Farr (1905-1997) operated Farr's Jewelers in the Chevy Chase Park and Shop on Connecticut Avenue, from 1951 to 1988, when they retired. The Farrs lived at the Watergate after it opened in the 1960s. The shopping center where Farr's was located was torn down in 2013 to make way for the Park Van Ness apartments.
