@classicaldreaming sorry if this is more than you ever wanted to know about hooves. I included the first picture because it's a simple shod foot and is basically what people think of when the word hoof is mentioned. The second picture is the solar view of a hoof and the view I was assuming you were talking about? Anyone who has ever picked out a foot has seen this view The third picture is a diagram stating names and locations of basic outer hoof anatomy. The white line shows the shape of the hoof 9/10 times (some times shit hits the fan and that line looks weird) Next to that is the same picture as number two but I put purple lines loosely on either side of the white line to kind of make it clearer to see on an actual foot. All of these pictures are from the text book my school instructor wrote (Gregory's Textbook of Farriery) it has more information than a beginner student ever needs. Also I think @themotherfuckingclickerkid would find this interesting so I'm tagging him too
