Five Songs I’ve Been Listening to on Repeat!
Thank you so much for the tags @klynnvakarian and @myfavouritelunatic !
This is fun. I've been exploring some random genres and revisiting early 2000s nostalgia
Farruko - Pepas : Heard this at a boxing class and just can't get out of my head. Perfect to get some anthemic energy back on the evening commute home!
2. Weezer - My Name is Jonas - when Rivers sings out "They're fresh out of batteries. But they're still making noise, making noise" it just reminds me of all the toys with batteries I've had to replace the last few years. AAA for life. Of all the songs on the Blue album this is probably the one I most enjoy and don't feel bored of it (probably because it got last radio play time?)
3.Hans Zimmer - A Time of Quiet Between the Storms (Dune: Part Two soundtrack). This is the main Dune theme that also sounds like the music they might play in a museum gift shop selling crystals and dream catchers. It makes me want to cry thinking of that ending "Lead them to paradise" Lisan al Gaib!
4. Hans Zimmer - Vale of Plenty (Black Hawk Down soundtrack) inspired by Hans' Dune pt 2 soundtrack went back to listen some of his other stuff like Gladiator sound track but he also did Black Hawk Down I've loved some tracks on BHD soundtrack since it came out, but this one kind of sticks out (hard to pick one though)
5. A Tribe Called Quest - Award Tour. For some reason this has become my dog walking song it just flows so well for that 90s rap sound.
Have a bunch of runner ups: Smashing Pumpking, Madonna, The Charlatans, 30 Seconds to Mars etc etc
