For vegetarians, these Double Drive-Thru Veggie Burgers are a tasty and filling alternative to regular fast food burgers. They are full of flavor and come with a special sauce on top, making them great for a quick and tasty meal.
Ingredients: 2 veggie burger patties. 4 slices of whole wheat burger buns. 4 slices of Swiss cheese. 1/2 cup of sliced pickles. 1/4 cup of sliced red onions. 1/4 cup of lettuce leaves. 1/4 cup of tomato slices. 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise. 2 tablespoons of ketchup. 1 tablespoon of mustard. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Preheat your grill or stovetop griddle over medium-high heat. Season the veggie burger patties with salt and pepper to taste. Place the burger patties on the grill or griddle and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until they are heated through and have grill marks. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty and allow it to melt. While the patties are cooking, toast the whole wheat burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until they are lightly browned. Mix the mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard in a small bowl to create a special sauce. To assemble the burgers, spread the special sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Place a lettuce leaf on top of the sauce, followed by a veggie burger patty with melted cheese. Add tomato slices, red onions, and pickles on top of the patty. Top with the other half of the bun. Serve your Double Drive-Thru Veggie Burgers hot with your favorite side dishes! Enjoy!
