You know I love fgo for a lot of reasons early fgo is not one of them save for like okeanos, one thing in particular I despise is septem mainly for it has done to most of the characters who were involved in it specifically primarily the romans and Boudica. Nero for example is terrible because she’s getting wanked the whole chapter and is barely recognizable when compared to the Nero from extra who is great and a really good character who recognizes her failings as a person and tries to be better. Caligula’s character completely revolves around nero and has nothing to him other than his obsession with Nero and while not entirely the case for Romulus as he does get some decent characterization that doesn’t entirely revolve around her in chapter him and Caesar are basically just mouthpieces to spout praise to Nero though Caesar escapes septem the best due to the later inclusion of Cleopatra and just some better chances for him to be more of his own character. But anyways one character I think gets off really bad in all this is boudica who’s general character I don’t actually dislike all that much like her being a nice big sister type and all and like honestly that’s fine what i do despise is the dumb and terrible excuses the writing tries to make as to why she doesn’t hate nero and the romans and then post septem it gets worse because any time boudica shows up post then she’s always a joke character or made as an add on to say that nero is great and that she’s totally okay with her and forgives her save for two particular instances being garden of sinners where we get a glimpse into what she could be and it’s a really cool scene if short but there’s also the part in summer 2 with her and it’s great she’s an avenger even if the reasoning is a bit goofy but hey it’s a summer event and it can afford to not take itself as seriously and then it all goes to shit because nero says some bullshit and suddenly she totally forgives her and everything is fine and it just makes me sad because I know fgo can do better and I’m just tired of seeing them constantly make a mockery of characters I know could be great if written properly I can only hope that one day we get proper avenger boudica and she’s everything she should be and completely unapologetic in her rage towards the romans and nero
