The first song of the evening, as well as the first dance, traditionally done by the husband and wife. However, in this particular dance, it was between the husband and the husband. Even though their sons and daughter had grown used to the idea of their fathers turning to the comfort of another man, it was still an odd thought that they were married, and about to have their first dance.
Kazuma's children and Byron's sons stood away from the other half, like a wall was separating them. The older two of the Arclight brothers cast rather disturbed glances at Yuma whilst ignoring Akari; she was normal enough. Yuma smiled at his new brothers. A bigger family was always great!
The youngest of the newly-joined family stepped over the invisible barrier, earning himself a glare from...what was his name again? Carl? Pretty sure it was Carl. Still, he didn't stop smiling at them.
"So you guys are my new brothers?" Yuma asked.
"No," the middle brother replied. "We're going to be random hobos in your house."
'Carl' nudged him in the ribs. "Don't be rude."
"Whatever, the brat deserved it," he shrugged.
"Do you really need to cause a scene at Father's wedding? In front of our family?"
"Chris, get your g-string out of your asscrack. This kid doesn't really care about what I'm saying," he shrugged.
"Excuse us." Carl - who was apparently really called Chris - looked furious, even worse than Akari during her special time.
Chris dragged Thomas away, having roughly grabbed him by the arm and ignored the 'ow, fuck, let go!' comments from his younger brother. That only left Yuma with Akari and Michael, both of which had been watching the dance instead of listening to Yuma. Lame!
Though, one had to admit, it was kind of adorable. Their foreheads had been pressed together, and their eyes were closed as they slow-danced to the music. Kazuma's arm was wrapped around Byron's waist, whilst his arm was around the back of Kazuma's neck. Their free hands were clasped together, fingers laced together perfectly. There were no words that could have ever described the pure bliss and happiness written on their faces.
Before the song stopped, Byron had taken a moment to press his lips against his new husband's. Though he was surprised by it, he happily returned the show of affection, much to the guests' joy and cheer. Even when the song changed, their hands did not disconnect. The tune changed to something more cheerful and a bit faster.
Yuma's attention switched over to his new brother. "Hey, do you wanna dance?"
"I'm not much of a dancer," Michael tried.
"Neither am I, but you've gotta try, right?" And still, he grabbed the pinket's hand and dragged him onto the dance floor.
The dance wasn't too serious; it was the typical 'flail-your-arms-around-and-pretend-you-don't-look-stupid' dance. Yuma got into it quite quickly. Michael, on the other hand, was having difficulty getting used to the idea of this kind of dancing. After all, he was expecting proper ballroom dancing. Though, he should have learnt something from the Tsukumos - never expect anything.
"Come on, Mike!" The nickname caught his attention. "Dancing isn't that bad!"
Emerald eyes scanned the room. Everyone else was doing this weird dance, except his father and brothers, the latter only because Chris was still talking to Thomas, who clearly wasn't listening. Well, Michael supposed he could have danced for just this one song.
He was properly getting into the dance, dancing in time to the music. For once, he didn't care about people's stares, even though no one else was really looking at him. He wasn't a good dancer, but Yuma's encouragement was enough to make him keep going. Michael grabbed Yuma's hands, and they danced together. Yuma even twirled his new older brother and dipped him, which led to him falling over.
"Yuma!" he whined, sitting up.
"Sorry," Yuma laughed, holding out his hand. Michael grabbed it, and helped himself up.
Thomas was about to bother his little brother to ditch the rest of the party, as he was about to leave. Though, as he watched him have fun with their new youngest sibling, Chris had to stop him. One of them was going to have to bond with the Tsukumos. Thomas could have gone home alone, much to his bitterness. Chris had left the middle brother alone to talk to Akari.
Well, it seemed everyone in his family had someone to talk to, except Thomas himself. Fucking Tsukumo family.
