FR Secret Santa art from 2025 of CHUUNIBYOU's Droplet!
meet Fathoms! Fathoms is a handmade beanie made with recycled materials using @beanbagbuddies4life's scorch pattern :3
Their poem reads:
I live deep within the sea And drag the tide along with me I make friends with all the fishes And grant all their little wishes
I wanted to make another magic spoof and have it be a little elemental and tied to nature. This dragon is really soft and velvety. I really liked how the tail came out curled over like a wave!!

Do you think the fathoms with non-water elements resent the Tidelord for excluding them from his prophecy? Imagine putting your entire life on hold and travelling thousands of miles to a home you've never seen because your god needs you, your efforts finally being rewarded with his voice, only to realize that you can't understand him. That despite your ancestors being born of his magic, despite dedicating your entire life to exploring his ocean, he doesn't consider you worthy of being his kin. He may be your father, but you will never be his child.

I can't wait to see what the Fathoms that come and collect their maps will look like. I put the maps in the room where my Aethers live.
Here are my Fathom Shanty posts all in one place, from the FR forums! It’s been a fun hype up to this breed’s rollout, woohoo!
Definitely check out the thread, a lot of users made really fun FR twists in existing shanties!
The idea is, Fathoms DEFINITELY sing sea shanties as they travel along, like, of course they do! I bet being a shanty lead is an honorable role, hehe!
The last pic is them singing a goodbye song to the sea, as so many shanties do. The specific one I had in mind was “The Mingulay Boat Song”, which has a lot of delightful covers on youtube. It’s wistful and endearing.
