Very curious now due to Faust's Temple-Schism history - how would he act if he took the PCs virginity? Has he grown numb to the concept of virginity being sacred, or is he particular about it in any way?
He’s grown numb to the concept of virginity being sacred since he doesn’t consider himself part of the temple anymore - quite the opposite. Corruption only helps his cause.
He would consider it as sacred because it’s PC’s virginity specifically. If they lost it to him in a Nonconsensual encounter, he’ll say “It’s going to be easier next time. You’ll learn to love it. I’ll make sure of it.”
If they lose it to him in a consensual encounter he’ll say “You do remember me, don’t you?” - - - Control
Now if PC has the angel TF and loses their virginity to Faust he’ll have special dialogue. If it’s consensually, he’ll say “Shh…it’s alright. I’m here. Just let yourself fall.”
And if they lose their virginity nonconsensually in Angel TF with Faust, it’ll trigger another schism event!
“Hate me then,” he breathes,
“Break yourself into a thousand pieces and deny me each and every one of them. Flee behind the veils of reality and avoid me like the plague. Because as long as we exist at the same time, as long as there is even one piece of you untouched by me, I will find you, and I will ruin it. I am never letting you go.”
An encounter you can have with Faust when the Ivory Wraith possess you and drags you to the lake!
When Faust’s love is high enough, he will protect you from the Ivory Wraith lake event every Blood Moon.
Btw, Ivory isn’t Faust’s dead wife. The reason they know each other is from their shared past.
Faust was one of the initiates at the same temple as Ivory - the one that’s buried as ruins in the lake.
He’s witnessed what happened. He’s experienced the pain Ivory went through. He’s experienced loss. He’s experienced wrath.
So, they leave him alone. He might still exist in the flesh, but he’s as much of a ghost as they are. They cannot judge his actions as little as he can theirs.
“No one deserves to die in a cage.“
Faust the Widower
A little ramble about his name origin as someone who read the original Faust I in german and likes it
Ofc, Faust is super commonly known as the Man who did a deal with the devil, but what a lot of people kind of miss is the aspect of Gretchen’s tragödie.
Faust wishes for power riches etc., but he also wishes for love. The devil (Mephisto) grants him that wish by guaranteeing that “Every woman will hold the beauty of Helena” (A mythological woman who was said to be the most beautiful of them all)
Shortly after, Faust falls in love with the first woman he sees (a girl in the story but. Time period and all that.), Gretchen. To him she’s the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen, and he pretty fastly seduces her, ruins her reputation with it, kills her brother, mother and drops her again because it’s not true love. He’s just lusting after her and believes it is love.
Anyway that’s the aspect I wanted for his name in the story I made for him as well - PC doesn’t actually look like his late s/o at all. He just believes they do.
“Women will look hold the beauty of Helena” -> They will look like Faust’s s/o. They’re the most beautiful person to him. In truth he probably can’t even remember their face anymore. Anytime they try, PC comes up instead.
Faust sold his soul to one of the eldritch gods (the one opposing Virgo) ((I deadass forgot its name I think it was Aurelia or smth 😭)) in order to take revenge and bring his dead s/o back to life. He believes all he needs is a vessel that has a connection to her. A sacrifice.
Meanwhile in my hc it’s that PC is connected to the gods as well (like be fr they have so much supernatural shit happening around them), and has become a target of the god.
So the god influences Faust, and makes him believe PC looks just like his s/o. That has to be a sign that they’ll be the perfect vessel, right? A rebirth, they remember him too, this time it has to be right. This time he can beat the odds and save them. Even if it killed them every other time, it’ll be different this time.
Truth is though, it’s all a trick. And at the end PC will end just as tragically as Gretchen did.
Or maybe, they can break the cycle. Who knows.
What was one event that changed your PC? Not just their appearance but their perspective on the world, or the way the town works?
With Donn, I think his perspective changed a lot when the Scarred Prisoner attacked him and almost gouged his eye out. Not in a really traumatic way, not like being assaulted or killing someone else was traumatic to him, but more so, I think for the first time he became self aware that he‘s too trusting.
Atp he didn‘t realize just how blindly he trusted the Scarred Prisoner until he got mad that Donn didn’t pull away/run away sooner which basically made Donn go „Yeah actually, why didn’t I?“
It didn’t change him really to anything worse or better, I think it was just a very sobering thought of „oh, I really trusted this guy”, basically a “oh i really want this to be love dont I”. A sobering thought of realizing he is a dependent person, he isn’t some gruff “lone wolf” type like people think he is or he even wants to be sometimes, he wants to and does trust people very easily.
He’s sometimes like a child unironically with how low self awareness he has, like when his mother first hit him he never thought that’s a thing that even could happen because it’s always only been his father. So when she first hit him it was sort of a sobering oh. I guess she’s doing that now too.
Same goes with the Scarred prisoner, he didn’t think he’d seriously hurt him until he did. Kinda that’s how Donn goes through life a lot of times, he thinks people won’t do things to him he wouldn’t do to them until they do and he goes oh. Guess that’s something I gotta expect now, too.
It goes for both positive and bad things btw - Donn never explicitly told anyone he trusts them (action over words) and he never heard those words from anyone towards him. So when Brianna told him she trusts him it was like, oh. That can happen??? And he doesn’t know how to feel about that either.

Now Faust - Obviously, his wife dying. The night the ritual happened that unleashed the eldritch horrors into town, he became aware of the corrupted nature of the town itself, and lost his faith. I hc during the ritual night, the monks/nuns protecting the temple for Virgo were sacrificed while trying to stop Auriga from entering reality, and in the process they’ve all been killed. Faust was kinda like Jordan as in he was a pure angel who didn’t know wtf was going on, and his wife was a nun. They had a holy bond and were both the shields for the temple in their innocence and pure love for each other, so the night the ritual had to be stopped/the temple was attacked, they didn’t understand what was happening.
His wife and him were targeted for being the shield of purity, and she ended up as one of the sacrifices thrown into the dimensional rift (like at Remy’s party Avery takes you to).
Faust jumped after her to try and save her, but was pulled back by his temple brothers. Not before he caught a glimpse of whatever entity entered town through the portal though before it closed forever and took his wife with it.
Faust 1000% blames the temple for what happened, for stopping him from saving his wife (delusional), and for leaving him and his wife in the dark for their own gains. Basically on the same night, during one moment where Faust could rip himself free from his capturers he took one of the ritualistic daggers and send an open prayer to whichever entity would listen to take his soul in exchange for revenge on the temple before killing himself.
And whatever came out of the portal heard him.
omg i need Faust more than i need air itself 23 & 24 for the ask game please!
Thank you for the questions and glad you like him hehe
23. Grief is the hardest emotion for Faust to process. He turns incredibly self destructive and angry instead, and can’t handle the hollowness well. Anything to fill the loss, the crushing feeling of guilt. Is this how it’s going to feel for the rest of his life?
24. Maybe if he would’ve never married, he’d be an entirely different man today.
But if it meant he’d get to hold your hand one last time, he’d do it all over again in a heartbeat.
i hope i can take animation next year
