The wild camel is extremely well adapted for the harsh desert climate that it inhabits.
Sandstorm damage is reduced by the dense eyelashes and the narrow nostrils that can be closed tightly against the storms.
Its two toes are able to spread widely, allowing the camel greater ability to walk on sandy ground.

Here are some facts to encourage you to vote for the African elephant!
The skull of the African elephant is huge, making up 25% of its body weight!
African elephants grow throughout their lives, but the rate slows after sexual maturity.
Elephants' wrinkly skin is adapted for keeping the body cool, as the wrinkles increase the skin's surface area, trapping moisture which takes longer to evaporate. (So there's a plus side to wrinkles!)
