Tried to get in on my other Faye’s account, but I can’t so I’ll just post here. If anyone at all wants to plot anything with Faye (I’m a damn sucker for unhealthy relationships tbh), I’m down. :)

Exodus || Faye and Martinez
Martinez's hands tightened on the steering wheel and he felt his already tight jaw clench down. His eyes burned: Lack of sleep, tears, the hot Atlanta sun shining down through the windshield and back up again off the pavement all taking their toll. His head pounded. The only time Lucia had stopped screaming since -- no, he couldn't think back on it, not now-- was the few minutes she'd slipped into sleep, and even then, he'd found himself peering up into the rear view mirror to make sure she was still there, still breathing. His Lucia, she was all he had left.
Ahead of them, the highway was jammed with cars. Brake lights shone from the ones that were still running, but most looked to be broken down and he could make out the silhouettes of people gathered around them Glancing down at his own gas gauge, he grimaced. If they didn't get off the highway soon, they'd be joining the rest of the people stranded there. And that wasn't something he wanted to do. They'd be too open, too exposed.
"Papa." Lucia's small voice rang out from the back of the Tahoe, and Martinez twisted around in his seat to look back at the girl. "Papa, I want mami," she sniffled and dissolved once more into tears.
Just then, the engine of the Tahoe rattled and groaned before cutting out.
