ES: Siendo un actor de 91 años, este día tenía que llegar más temprano que tarde, pero aún así lamento profundamente el fallecimiento de Christopher Plummer, a quien admiro mucho. A la hora de imaginarme a Kieren McKenna de anciano, él era la imagen que acudía a mi mente. Hizo una película maravillosa con Ewan McGregor llamada “Beginners”, por la que ganó el Oscar a mejor actor secundario, convirtiéndose en el ganador más viejo de la Historia. Y, por supuesto, el eterno Capitán Von Trapp de “Sonrisas y Lágrimas”. Quería rendirle un pequeño homenaje en este blog, porque forma parte de la historia. Descansa en paz, querido Christopher.
EN: When we’re talking about an actor who’s 91 years old, this day had to come sooner than later, but still I’m deeply sorry to hear about Christopher Plummer’s passing, whom I admire a lot. When I had to imagine Kieren McKenna as an old man, he was the man who came to my mind. He made a wonderful movie called with Ewan McGregor called “Beginners”, his work on it made him the best supporting actor of that year, being the oldest actor to win an acting award ever. And, of course, he’s the eternal Captain Von Trapp in “The Sound of Music”. I wanted to pay my respects to him here too, because he’s part of this story. Rest in peace, dear Christopher.
