For Levi, he would probably consider his old best friend and his 'enemy' the same person. The two met in elementary school, and clicked almost immediately. Levi, Matty, and Jean spent quite a bit of time together, the two boys getting Jean into perhaps more trouble than they ever meant to. Once they reached middle school/early high school the two boys started drifting apart, but in a much more explosive way than Levi and Jean did. Both ended up in the principal's office more than once over the years because of fighting and other tricks they pulled on each other.
