History;
If you told a young Diana Faraday that she would be a mafia wife, she’d laugh in your face. Diana grew up the daughter of the Vasco Consigliere. Always close to the action, but never close enough to get her hands dirty. Leonardo and Salvatore Vasco were brats in her eyes. The idea of eventually being their adviser annoyed her more than anything. Being the intelligent and strategic woman she was, Diana knew she would end up running the business with her words more than those men ever would. Once she graduated from Yale, Diana started working under her father, learning the ins and the outs of the business. Leonardo was doing the same with his father. It was around that time that the two finally got to know each other. While it took a lot of convincing, Diana finally admitted to falling in love with him.
Just because the two were married with children, didn’t mean Diana was about to give up her rightful place in the regime. Being the Don’s wife gave her more power than any Consigliere in the past and Diana was sure to make the most of it. While it took a while for the loyalists to respect her as much as they did her father, Leonardo’s heavy-handed leadership style mixed with her wisdom was a match made in heaven. Everyone saw that eventually and everyone started to listen. Anyone who didn’t…well, they were dealt with.
When Aurelia started dating Cillian, Diana was happy. A bond between both families could mean great things. He made her smile; that was truly enough for Diana. Though, she couldn’t help but be on Salvatore’s side when he shot him in the head. While she agrees it was rash and impulsive, the idea of letting an irishman infiltrate the east without consequences would make the regime weak. An execution in front of her three year old grandson wasn’t the way she would have handled things, but what’s done was done. Now she had a war to plan for. Diana would get her daughter back. Even if she had to kill every last Byrne to get her.
