ALRIGHT ALRIGHT im pulling up my 3 favorite far cry 4 AUs from 2018! i actually have A TON more aus that you can look back into my tag for, though i won’t be saying much unless you ask about em! this is just a rushed summary after all!

the incubus au 

haha so basically: i had a dream that ajay was an incubus demon, fucked everyone in kyrat and made his way to the top via that way while wearing a dress and woke up feeling like a changed man. you know what that did for me? everything. oh m god. it had SO Much extensive worldbuilding, from insights to how the story changed for kalinag and shangri-la to the fact i fucking made pagan a HUGE centipede monster!! he and ajay worked together to take down the golden path easy. also, as a mandatory statement: bhadra also happens to be going through demon puberty, so he takes her in after everything’s done. 

the sad parents au/a happier family 

okay. i love far cry 4. i also love bhadra very much. but what came across me that day literally CHANGED the trajectory of my perspective, which is: the golden path is basically a divorced couple fight. alas, it couldn’t be possible that amita would have been that since she was like... 12 when sabal was a teenager. so what else was an au for? basically, amita and sabal are bhadra’s parents, but they’ve been too estranged to actually let her know that she even HAD a family since they separated during a time she wouldn’t remember! fortunately, it’s up to ajay to figure things out with her, and it’s a TRIP. 

the crazy old tyrant au 

i’ll be up front. ajay manages to save noore, take her away elsewhere. bhadra manages to escape the clutches of sabal and amita, and noore takes her in as her daughter after the loss of her own family. but what’s the cost? well: at the cost of ajay giving up, joining pagan’s side, and eventually ruling as king. it’s not so much a cost at an eventual point, ajay isn’t a cruel dictator but so long as pagan is alive he’s still following ideals. eventually, years, decades, pass, bhadra is grown, pagan is old. the thing she finds the need to do? kick the old man’s ass and take the reigns. except...
