First fast CAT event! Round 1 was a bust, she got nervous (social pressure) from the dogs standing by the fence waiting and the two tables across from each other at the starting timers and ran back. She kept trying to bite the line on the ground, she wanted to go but was too nervous. We left to get some breakfast, came back for round 2- success! Girl clocked 23mph! And wanted to go back and do it again after I leashed her, another win!

I’m super proud of this girl pushing through her people and dog anxieties. There was a large black Dane standing 2ft behind us, Luna’s biggest fear, and she held it together beautifully! ❤️

Here it is, our very first Fast Cat run! I’m standing immensely too close to the finish line so it added a second to our time for this run, but as we went on through the day we up getting a best time of 8.06 which equals 25.38 miles per hour!!!!! That’s amazing!! If she competes like that, she’ll easily make it into the top 50 Fastest AKC German Shepherds :3 I’m so so proud of this dog and I’m glad she has a now sport she excels at by nature.

Today was the last ever event being hosted at my local FCAT spot. I’m so happy I was able to volunteer, see MANY successful happy dogs, and have Eevee and Charlotte run there one last time. I will miss this location but there is plans for a new spot within a half hour of this!
