Coerthan League - Recruitment
[Posters freshly strewn up across the cities of the Eorzean Alliance carry the following message]:
Talented adventurers, intellectuals, and merchants. The Coerthan League seeks fresh faces eager to rekindle Eorzea's petering flames.

The old House de Vieri has rebranded. We decided that a pure House guild was not sufficient and in order to correct our meandering focus we’ve created the Coerthan League.
There are two subgroups within the League. It chiefly identifies as a trading consortium with material interests that range across the whole of Eorzea. The traders are sponsored by some of Ishgard’s most esteemed members, including various Parliamentary elements who belong to a moderate political coalition operating under the same name.
The latter group is less an in-game element that affects day-to-day RP and more a way for us to project political RP on a larger scale. Since legislature nevertheless affects trade, this second group’s success is as paramount as the first’s.
The physical House de Vieri remains as a driving force behind the League, and thus the primary missions of cultural and scientific advancement are still a target focus for the group.
Frequent, well-crafted story events
A focus on character development
A relaxed social atmosphere
A loose Ishgardian focus: while the reins remain in the hands of Ishgardian aristocrats, the actual interests of the League vary greatly and will doubtlessly result in expeditions that range from caravan escorting and relic hunting in the deserts of Thanalan to heretic hunting in the snows of Coerthas.

Mercenaries, magi, menders and merchants: all will find new purpose here in the Coerthan League. Any who can lift a weapon will be appropriately reimbursed for their efforts. The pay is good and the cause is just.
For those less at home in the rage of war, the League has a critical shortage of intellectuals to further its scientific and political pursuits. If your character is interested in a research or public service role there are an ample number of positions available within.
Whether they’re more comfortable with a quill or a sword, all who enlist in the League must be prepared to travel. Characters with wanderlust and a sense of adventure are likely to get the most out of the League.
ISHGARDIANS: If your character is a moderate member of Parliament or finds themselves concerned about the direction Ishgard is headed it may prove beneficial to speak with Anthony de Vieri about joining forces with the League.

We’re a group of friends who are pretty open and welcome. A few of us have a history from previous games we’ve played, but we endeavor to see that no ruling clique forms as we think a diverse environment of faces new and old is healthiest for everyone involved.
In our first iteration, we grew to a comfortable size before we were displeased with the direction of the guild’s story. In effect, we’d written ourselves into a corner. A few of us got wrapped up in other affairs but now we’re fully reinvested in this game and this FC. We sincerely look forward to regrowing and seeing what we can accomplish as a group. With a bit of luck, it’ll be fun along the way!
