And as the world comes to an end I'll be here to hold your hand Because you're my king and I'm your lionheart

Adrian: You remind me a lot of the ocean.
Noah: Why?
Adrian: Because you're salty and people are terrified of you.

For $120 dollars, you have been dared to make Adrian Rosenthal believe you are in love with him for 2 hours.
Honestly - it should have been the easiest dare, one that would get him the money without much struggle. This was his best friend, Noah knew how to make him feel loved, and in the end, after those two hours, they would laugh about it.
If Noah hadn’t actually been in love with the man for years, and once he had confessed to his feelings? There was no going back. For all Noah knew, it would change their dynamic forever, and shit - he hadn’t thought that Nerve would make him feel so scared so early on.
His jaw was still aching as he knocked on his best friend’s door - Jack surely knew how to throw a punch, and maybe the pain wasn’t such a bad thing right now. At least it distracted him somewhat from fidgeting. One hand in his pocket, he turned a small cube in his fingers, trying to brace himself for what was to come.
As soon as Adrian opened the door, Noah forced a smile to his face. He was happy to see him, after all - he was simply terrified of ruining a friendship that had lasted a lifetime.
“Hey there, big guy. Got some time for me?”
Update: Noah loves kids.
So, the names for all of his kids are established now. Therefore, here’s a quick list / explanation.
Single!Daddy Verse
Marlin Luisa Ribeiro
She’s the result of a One Night Stand gone wrong - the mother one day showed up at Noah’s door, told him that she’s pregnant and they went through the pregnancy together. However, the mother was already aware she wouldn’t be able to keep the child, and after giving birth, she left the little girl in Noah’s custody.

Dominic Elias Ribeiro & Nicholas Isaac Ribeiro
Dominic and Nicholas are twins. Their middle names reference Noah’s big brother, Elias, and his best friend Adrian, whose middle name is Isaac.

Emlyn Marisa Rosenthal
Adrian and Noah obviously can’t get actual kids. Gillian, Noah’s cousin, gave birth to Emlyn - she is the result of Gillian’s and Adrian’s genes. They chose to go this way so Emlyn would be a part of both Adrian’s and Noah’s family. ‘Emlyn’ means brave/noble warrior, Marisa is the name of Noah’s mother, and Rosenthal is Adrian’s family name.
@fcrself liked for a lyric starter I/magine D/ragons - I don’t know why
“ We couldn't be closer if we tried.”
Those words had been true for most of Noah’s life - when they had first met during their childhood, growing up side by side, until life had brought them here. Holding onto Adrian’s hand, fingers entangled, his eyes were entirely focused on their rings.
What a strange day - jumping out of a plane right after his best friend had proposed to him. Noah still half expected that he would wake up at any second, but ... honestly, no, this was exactly the kind of ‘crazy’ that fit Adrian so well.
“You really need to stop drinking. I’m serious.” -adrian
Had anyone witnessed them in this very moment? It would have been easy to assume that Noah was indeed drunk as hell, completely wasted. He hadn’t been able to stop laughing for ten minutes straight, stomach aching, muscles cramping, tears of pure amusement on his face. Noah’s lungs had started protesting, and whenever he managed to stop laughing for at least a second or two, it was spent gasping for air.
But Noah wasn’t drunk. Hadn’t touched any alcohol at all. He knew that. Adrian knew that.
So why wasn’t he able to stop laughing, if it wasn’t from the influence from some really damn hard liquid? As it turned out, not sleeping for two days straight had some rather ... interesting effects on him.
A deep breath, oxygen at least attempting to bring some sense to his mind and help him calm. For a moment? It seemed to work.
“Okay, okay, I’ve got it, I’m fine, I’m fine.”
Had his life been narrated? This would have been the exact moment the storyteller would have interrupted the scene with a sober “He was not fine.” The moment of normalcy merely lasted a second, before Noah bursted into laughter once more, head falling back as he squeezed his eyes shut with the most unreasonable amusement.

take from Chapter 5 of The Boy Of Good Will
“Get out, Shaapit Beta.” She had told me, shoving me with bony hands as she coughed thick phlegm into her mouth. She sounded like she was dying. “You are killing me, I’ve had enough. There is no saving you. There is no saving anyone.” Delirious in her efforts to get me out of her small, broken down house, I was tossed into the dirt outside her porch. She slammed the door, her coughs echoing in my ears even as they’re muffled by the door.
I stand, dusting myself off. Looking around I had no where to go. No home. No family. I didn’t know any better.
I ignored the words that old woman had often told me; to avoid other people. I had been told time and time again that the villagers hated me. It made sense to me –– after all I had killed two people hadn’t I?
I went door to door, trying to find a place to rest. If it didn’t end in being screamed at or having the door slammed in my face it was a good thing. Some people didn’t even come to the door.
And then I found Aman’s house.
