Such a shame.
Ciela had discovered an egg, softly patterned in pale pinks and purples and yellows, in an otherwise long-abandoned monster den by the sea. Seeing it there, all alone, she couldn’t very well abandon the poor thing. With this in mind, she took it home to see if it would hatch. In all likelihood, it wouldn’t, and she would dispose of the dud properly. Still, she had never seen a coloration like this on any kind of monster egg before... The stripes indicated it was some type of Leviathan.
She holds her Kinship Stone up to the ceiling of the stables, willing the pastel shell to crack.
No response. Guess this one’s a dud.
She takes the egg up into her arms to go and find a place to smash it, but... for some odd reason, she doesn’t feel ready to let it go.
“c’mon now. wouldn’t you like to see the world outside, little darlin’? i know i’d hate being cooped up forever.” Her voice is soft as she coaxes the egg, tries to convince it and herself that it’s worth it. “don’t you wanna be my monstie?”
