parents weren't around very often, causing him to act very aloof and make often very stupid decisions. he doesn't care about the consequences most of the time though, since he made an effort not to do anything major
spent a lot of time hanging around junkyards and stuff when he was a teen/young adult

managed to get into college somehow, and met pat there in their 1st year. paus side of the room was a mess and pat scolded him for it and then started to help clean it up and pau was like "wrow.......... im gonna marry this dude"
was a typical highschool jock quarterback but just Not An Asshole
tall and big armed and loves to hold his small children/friends (fdk, tord, yuu (yanov is too tall to be held but hes still baby))
when pat bought fdk to pau they both kinda looked at eachother and went "our son now" and they play pirate with fdk sometimes and let him beat them up with cardboard swords
blind in one eye
met tord and was like "hello! you are my son now" and tord was like "wow an actual father figure! nice" and then introduced tord to pat and tord was like "TWO dads! even better"
will do anything for his sons (tord, fdk) an his son's dumb freeloader friends (yuu an yanov)
works at a flower shop part time after the red army disbands and is kinda a stay at home dad
