Reading CD Wright’s 2016 posthumous collection from @copper_canyon_press. I only discovered Wright’s work in 2011 as I was working on my MFA thesis @fdu on documentary poetics. Wright’s One Big Self was an important cog in my final thesis and was one of the books on which I modeled my own book-length effort, As an Alien in a Land of Promise. Wright left us a little more than two years ago, at age 67 — way too young.
