I feel like Nino would randomly ask Jaffar for displays of affection and he just freezes because "oh my god just expressing my feelings is hard enough" and they are kind of a private couple. It takes Jaffar a while to work up the nerve nerve to hold her hand and their first kiss is kind of the magical "awkward but it's from you so give me as many awkward kisses as you want" kisses and Nino is literally crying tears of joy and wanting to record that shit and cherish it forever. And then Nino instantly tells her bff Erk about how magical it was and Erk is literally floored bc he's just so amazed and also a little salty over the fact Nino get her first kiss before him.
