The Princess and The Pauper | Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia

As Zofia falls into debt, the beautiful Princess Anthiese is to be married to the neighbouring Rigel's Emperor, an affair that should have been simple enough to conduct, being standard of royal families. And yet through the royal cat, Anthiese's favourite knight, and a young seamstress with an uncanny resemblance to the Princess, it seems nothing can go quite as calmly as originally hoped for.

listen you said something and my brain was like ‘Lukas trying to teach a dumbass Summoner how to cook,’ i apologise in advance 

Lukas is known for his patience even in the most dire of circumstances, but who would have thought that teaching you how to bake cookies would be the thing that tested him. It was almost concerning how bad your knowledge of food and baking was, it almost made him wonder how exactly you survive back in your own world. 

“Summoner is that salt or sugar?” He questions as you lift up a nameless bag full of white substance up onto the bench. You give him a look of slight offense, you weren’t that hopeless, were you? 

“Sugar obviously,” he raises an eyebrow. 

“Taste it.” 

“I mean okay but- ugh what is that?” You look around to find somewhere to spit out the powder from your mouth, as he stands and waits patiently so you could continue again. 

“I believe that is baking soda,” he pauses, using a clean spoon to pullout some of the baking soda from the bag to prove his point. “The giveaway is the consistency, I could tell from over here that it was not salt or sugar.” Then placing the soda back into the bag. 

“Wait you knew it wasn’t sugar or salt?” 

“I did.” You stare at him blankly. 

“And you made me taste it anyways?” Yes. Yes he did but he wouldn’t admit it, nor would he admit that he was slightly amused from the disgusted expression that you made when tasting the baking soda. 

“Moving on, go and retrieve the sugar.” You seem like you wanted to retort but decide to drop it, especially after you realised you had forgotten something. 

“…what does it look like again?” He sighs. 

“I will get the sugar.”
