When you can’t decide if you want to draw birds or the Brotherhood, so you end up drawing the Brotherhood as birds. The Featherhood, if you will.
Quick summary of all the bird species:
Edmund is an Andean Condor, because I love condors. Ironically condors are usually associated with sun gods, but I just think a condor suits Edmund. Also I just wanted to draw a condor. Instead of losing a wing, he’s missing his right foot, because why would he grab the moonstone with a wing? That’s just silly!
Adira is a Light-mantled Albatross, an absolutely gorgeous bird, built for long distance flying. Or gliding rather, seeing as they can glide for hundreds of miles on wind currents. Like Adira they’re generally solitary while they travel, and are extremely graceful birds (at least in the air).
Quirin here is a Barred owl. I don’t have any justification other then Quirin reminds me of an owl. A really tired owl.
Hector is a Black-thighed Falconet - one of the smallest birds of prey, they are extremely cute and fierce, and Hector as a very tiny bird amuses me.
