A bit random for this blog but I've made a baby blanket for one of my best friends who is getting a turnip.

It's modeled after my own baby blanket that was made by my great aunt and that I still have and that carries a lot of fond memories.

And I think everyone should have a big little kitty to take naps on. Or puke on bc as far I know, that's what babies mostly do, right?

I've never quilted before so there are properly better ways to do things, so please don't come at me.

But I got all materials tested and approved by the supurrrvisior.

Bonus, my sleepy kitty blanket, that was made by my great aunt.

Emerging from my post convention hangover to report that Connichi was once again the best time.

I had a blast of time bc Connichi is just the best convention, with the best people, made by the best people. We had amazing weather again, we had one of the special photoslots at the Villa Clementine, we took so many photos (well, Krone did mostly), hung out with all our friends, did not had enough time with everyone. Still 12/10 time, 5 stars. I always wish Connichi would have more hours in a day, more days in the conventions. It's one of the conventions where you feel that people who are responsable care and are interested in giving oppportunities to people, especially cosplayers and photographers. The fact that the city is giving out those photoslots (and the people working in these places enjoy doing so!!) and that you are allowed to take photos in the museum is incredible. The museum is my favorit, it's so specific and weird and you are so limited just by it being a museum, that everyone get so creative. HAS TO get creative bc you cannot take standart cosplay pictures, it's not really possible, there is no standart 'The Museums Pictures' (not yet at least) and I am hyped by every preview I saw. Everything makes me go 'That's the museum? How you do that? Where???' and makes me wonder and excited, when I get it. It's all rattling around in my head, bouncing back and giving me so much more ideas, makes me want to take my own pictures, riff off others and throw it back. It's so good. I hope it never stops. Also, our favorit boys OctoBrothers won (FINALLY!!!) the ECG prelim for 2026, which ended in a hollering congratulation flashmob on sunday evening and a lot of ugly criing on all ends. :'D

I'm sooo looking forward to next year already.

Bookfair saturday

The day began very unfortunate with me getting part of my finger cut of by accident, by an old stray disposable razor in my wash bag... Thankyfully the bleeding had stopped by the time (and many traffic jams later) we had arrived at the bookfair and I could patch it up properly. But do not recommend. Sucked ass. Major annoying.

The entrance was just as annoying and chaotic then the day before (spoilers: it will be worse on sunday). We did manage to take some really cute group pictures of our Madoka group tho and we even found a Madoka who was willing to take these photos with us, which was really lovely. The rest of the day I did nothing bc this day was already to much. I just spend time with my lovely friends and took the time to have some actual chats with people, which is something I do way to rarely, bc I tend to just stay in my own bubble and then I always have regrets, that I just said a quick hi to the people, I would like to spend more time with. And if you think I look like a groupie meeting their favorit 80s synth rock duo on the photo with @koujcosplay then you are absolutely right bc this is what happend. (Please check them out, they are great and amazing and I love what they do.)

In the end the day came out better than I had thought after that morning but still far from my favorit convention expirience. I don't really like Homura on me, although I can't pinpoint why. :/ Overall a very weird day.

Busting out this 13 year old cosplay and wearing it for a special photoshoot felt very strangely like coming home somehow.

Very excited about what we made and the photos that came out of it. <3

Connichi Sunday

It was Dungeon Meshi day - again! This time I was able to join a lovely group with, among others, @not-a-jack-o-lantern and @ichbinbaerchen :D The weather had turned quite rainey that day but thanksfully the museum provided some nice spots for us to take some, althrough very rushed, photos. Otherwise the weather was a great excuse to make another sweep of the artist alley and even check out the 18+ area they had added this year - it was very successfull. Even through I wasn't the biggest fan of this years artist rooster. And then... I had to do a fitting for a historical frock in my hotel room. Ya' kno', casual things you do on a convention sunday evening to relax. Overall Connichi 2024 was absolutely phenomenal. I had such a great time and I cannot wait to go again with some of my closest friends this year. I hope the photo ops in the museum and the other places will continue to be thing and that we will be just as luckey with the weather as last year.

MMC sunday (yes, I'm squishing more and more pictures in these posts) It was Funger day- FINALLY. We were looking forward so, so much to this group cosplay and I'm so happy we did it (and I have absolute no regrets about dragging everyone into this). Levi is the most comfy, chill cosplay (besides that people look at you weird on the bus) and this group was the most ridicious fun I had in while. And we took so many good photos that day - and I learned that fake stringes with dubious liquids are very popular props to bring apparently lol

Animuc Friday

As always I went rather spontaniously to Animuc and as always the weather was shit on friday. Still had a lovely time at the artist alley and the beer garden, just hanging out. Thanksfully Michelle is on the comfy side and very, very cozy. (the fluffy coat has really grown me u__ú) Overall I'm quite happy how this cosplay came out, althrough some things need updates, like the shirt and the choker. And I need to learn to not hug people full force with this costume, bc the earrings are murder weaponss that will slit my own throat one day.

When going through my late grandpas things we found a box of dias of the more.... exciting kind beyond all the heaps of family and tourist pictures. And I had saved them to do _something_ with them. At first I wanted to do some resin jewelry or similar but realised that it wouldn't really work bc the pictures have to be backlit being dias (d'uh). So I ended up makeing a handfull of sneaky spicey keychains that I gave away to friends gatcha style - which was met with great delight. This is actually the second batch of them, bc I forgot to take pictures of the first one but please anjoy this tiny selection of grandpas spicey stash.
