I already know it's gonna happen but if I see any "Eitri is actually right!" posts I'm gonna flip my whole fucking lid. Eitri is not right even remotely. Not even on a technicality. And this is the laziest, most boring bullshit thing they could have done with her. "You also summon people from their worlds, therefore we are the same~!" Except I'm not doing this to keep alive the legacy of some long dead asshole that you're sad you didn't get to marry by being a blood purist and driving a good king mad just for the sake of your ego. Except I/The Player/Kiran actually gives a shit about the people they summon. Except sure, in a meta sense, we the players are only doing this for our entertainment, we're still ultimately doing good. Except for a Hero to be summoned by us the player, they have to willingly answer the call. Canonically. The whole 'The player is just the same as Eitri' bullshit is just like if a cannibal looked at a surgeon and went "We're exactly the same, we both remove organs." And everyone agreed. Except the cannibal removes organs for fun and to eat them, while the surgeon removes organs because they're going to hurt the person they're inside, and if need be replaces them. (Because your appendix doesn't need to be replaced, but it does need to be removed.)
