Star was nervous, she had been talking to Lily for months now and even tho they had made the connection that Lily's father was also her own she hadn't even so much as approached him, she even avoided meeting Lily at her house if all possible. But today she had made arrangements with Lily so she could approach and speak with her father. She was about to knock on the door when she heard a sound, they had an intruder. She quickly moved around the house as she tracked the direction the intruder came in. She caught up with the masked figure fairly quickly, noticing the gun in their hand right away. She smirked and shook her head, "You have no power with that, you might as well leave now before you get hurt." she didn't notice her father was standing in the same room across from her until it was too late. The masked figure had shot off their gun, her father falling down to the ground with a thud as the bullet hit his chest and the figure ran out of the house. "What th-" Star started to say as she turned her head and her heart stopped. Her throat went dry as her breathing became harder to do. She would have ran after the masked figure if it weren't for the fact that she noticed he was still breathing. She ran to his side, "Father." she wrapped her arm around his back and examined the wound, the bullet didn't hit his heart, but if he didn't get medical attention soon he'll be in trouble and Star knew it. "Is that my Star?" his voice came out weak, as his hand out stretched trying to touch her face. Tears pricked Star's eyes, she could tell that he was dying. She grabbed his hand and brought it to her face, allowing him the touch of her skin. "Save your strength." her voice cracked. She could see it in his eyes, his life was leaving him and she couldn't handle it, she was just going to visit him and then this happened. Just then she heard someone enter the room, "Lily." she squeezed her eyes shut, their dad wasn't dead yet, "Call 911." she managed to say, but she wasn't sure how much that would help.
