Update
The P’n’R team has done an incredible job with the whole project this last month, and finally, one concept has been selected and I feel so glad it was one of the concepts I created, the Steal-me, even when this installation was created during a quick brainstorming conducted during a team contact, indeed we were able to notice how powerful is the use of brainstorming when designing. In addition, the concept has been slightly changed in order to make it more effective, i.e. more reflective, and engaging.
Research
Last week, I was able to find some suitable places where the installation could be implemented. During the last seven days, me in conjunction with other members of the group have been working really hard on what the possible installations could be, and at the end, each member should have at least three concept-cards that can be implemented. Therefore, I have been doing some research on examples of what the excessive use of prohibitions could do to society. Finally, I found some ridiculous consequences of the excessive use of prohibitions inside public buildings. The following link shows how nowadays, society has too many prohibitions and too few invitations, thus, you will have a better and deeper understanding on what our concepts are trying to demonstrate (or at least should demonstrate).

Update
Yesterday I selected the most suitable spaces for implementing the team’s installations. After doing the site survey of the first site, Toowong Village, there are some key aspects that were found to be really important when it comes to meeting specifications needed to make it an efficient place to conduct a social experiment (installation). First, the building has been redesigned and it makes it more attractive for current and new users to come and walk around it. Second, the Toowong Village is full of shops and that means that there may be a great variety of age and gender between people, which is a crucial feature to make the social experiment a success. Finally, more details can be found on the site survey, including pictures.
Update
After analyzing all the potentially possible places (public spaces) found, I have decided that I should contribute with two sites surveys instead of one. This is because I think that I should have more than one option (place) to implement my installation (which will be done next week). The places selected were:
• Oxford Street, Bulimba and
• Toowong Village, Toowong
Both places were found to be public spaces where people use to go either to shop, eat or walk on groups (family, friends, couples). Therefore, that was one of the main reasons that helped me to select these two sites on which i will conduct a site survey as soon as possible. But now, I must focus myself on what possible installations could be.
Update
After the last post, the last three days I have been looking for some public spaces, and indeed, I could find several potentially good places that can be used to implement one of the team’s installation. The places found are the following:
•Fitness First Gym, Toowong
•Royal Exchange Hotel
•Park
•Train Station
•Fortitude Valley
•Oxford Street-Bulimba
•Toowong bus station
•Toowong Village
Most of the places have been chosen because of the great number of people that walk through these places. However, I should select up to one place because according to the team task sheet, each member should come with at least one site survey. Finally, after selecting the site, I will conduct a survey that is going to describe (in depth) the selected public space.
