#Inktober day 6: Felipe Culala, alias Dayana-Dayang, a Filipina guerrilla fighter against occupying Japanese troops, who eventually joined the guerrilla group Hukbalahap during WWII. Per @plump.ph " her fierceness described Dayang-Dayang as a “huge woman” who had “masculine personality with a commanding demeanor.” No photos were available, so I went with more of an angular face, and used reference for clothing worn by Hukbalahap and weaponry from that time. #FelipeCulala #dayangdayang #hukbalahap #inktober2017
