Ohhh! I'm actually very interested in Falcon tho I had a moment where I was completely off tumblr so I guess I lost the very start of the project and I am still a bit confused on what it is, who had the idea, what it is about and some general info of the kind.

So if anyone wants to explain I'm all ears :DD

ok so for a bit of background on this. Leon was telling Jean and Desmond about how he took over Targent while we were driving to work. and once we got to work, Jean said this:

anyway so for a while after that Leon started thinking really hard about what else he remembered and Falcon just sort of...happened. easiest plot generation in the world. and for Camp NaNoWriMo in April, we wrote the first draft! it ended up being around 30k words and missing an entire middle WJDKSJ

as for what it's about, let me leave you with a first look at the synopsis we wrote that we're REALLY proud of:

Leon and Rachel Bronev are making waves in the field of archaeology. Their latest discovery, a large tablet engraved with cryptic symbols, provides the world's first concrete evidence of a legacy left behind by the mysterious Azran civilisation. The next step is to uncover this legacy--but they are not the only ones searching for it.

After turning down an offer from a questionable organisation known as Targent, it seems the agency will not take no for an answer. Leon and Rachel are ripped from their home and their family, forced to pursue the Azran legacy on behalf of Targent's tyrannical leader, the Vulture. When Rachel dies, it is left to Leon to fulfill their lifelong dream. But after all the Vulture has taken from him, Leon must first take back his life--or risk losing it forever.

So I just wanted to drop by and ask: how have you been? How's life treating you?

i've been doing okay i think! i'm gearing up to write for 24 hours straight this weekend and i am more excited than anything because if there's anything i know it's that i am made of so much hubris. might post the synopsis of the story later or i might not because i don't want to jinx it FGHDBGF

First of all, how are you? How are the others? It's been a bit since I've checked in on you

Secondly; I am once again back with my rocks ^^

This one is actually not mine, I found it at a friend's house and I have no clue what rock it may be, so I decided to ask the expert (being you :D)

It's quite peculiar

It seems to reflect light in very different and colorful ways (kinda like bismuth but without the complex crystals)

I'm curious to know what you think about it!

i am so rusty in the rock department but i know for sure that this handsome hunk is made up of TONS of different minerals. just from a cursory glance i think the shiny bits might be galena or magnetite? the shape of the protrusions is really interesting and i can't really pin it down!

and i honestly have no clue what the colorful parts could be. maybe titanium, but that's a long shot and i don't think it looks shiny enough. i've never seen anything like this rock before!! if you ever find out though please do let me know, it's a very pretty amalgamation :-)

I ALMOST FORGOT TO DO THIS. okay let me take a look-see.

earlier today i looked up what kind of mineral formations you could find in the alps and, hoho, i seem to have been correct: you can in fact find calcite and quartz there. BUT! is that what you've brought before mine eyes? let us find out (please take what i am about to say with a grain of salt obviously i am not an expert in geology i simply collect and appreciate rocks very much)

so it looks to me like you have four distinct Types of rocks here. the black ones seem to be of the same ilk, the brown ones look the same, and the three milky white ones in the top right seem to be the same (the opaque white one in the top middle seems to be unique).

first, the top right white rocks, because i'm like 99% sure they're primarily quartz. quartz is known for being sort of glassy-looking, and these here look translucent (though not completely transparent because there are inclusions present of other minerals which i won't even try to identify from a photo DFGNDF). also notice their cleavage (no, not rock boobies...the way that they've naturally broken apart). it's kind of hard to tell from these chunks, but you can see at some points it forms hexagonal crystals that sort of jut out from the surface. looks like you've got some quartz there, my friend!

now, i'm going to continue to guess that those brown rocks contain calcite, although it looks like there's a whole fiesta of minerals in those bad boys (as is the nature of Rocks). i'm really just doing guesswork here based on how the light hits it, as it looks like it might have that plasticky, almost sticky glossy texture that calcite is known for. also, calcite tends to like to cleave into slanty cubes, and while these rocks are obviously not Exact in their cleavage, they do seem to be roughly rectangular and uniform compared to, say, the quartz.

i can't say for certain what the black rocks are...i'm pretty sure they're magnetite, though. the metallic luster narrows it down to either magnetite or graphite, and as far as i know there are no graphite deposits in the alps, so it should be magnetite. if you have access to a metal surface, try and see if it's magnetic!

last, but certainly not least, we have that opaque white rock in the center. my first thought is talc, honestly--it's white and powdery, and veeeery soft. you could probably crush this rock if you tried hard enough (actually, if you're so inclined, do try! i would like to know if it really is talc). but also don't ruin the nice rock you found if you don't want to DFJKNGDFJK
