I'm once again asking you to join me in my appreciation for flower symbolism and spread the love around.

Now, as for flower symbolism explanation...

The leaves of black locust (those that frame the artwork) in many cultures is associated with "immortality". The flowercrown (this specific design) was considered a "love flower crown" in Ukrainian culture and girls over the age of 13 y/o traditionally made them themselves and wore them until their marriage.

Each flower and ribbon carried a specific meaning. Raspberry ribbon meant genuineness and heartfulness, the blue ribbon - water and peace.

Viburnum is a symbol of beauty; periwinkle symbolizes immortality of the soul and sincere pure love.

I can't even express how much I'm enjoying working on these characters. Hopefully one day I'll bring them to life in some dnd campaign.

So I'm almost at the end of my 1st playthrough of BD3 early access and...

Those 30$ were so worth it.

Even though the game needs quite a few bug and animation fixes, I can already see that on full release it's going to be magnificent. It's fun, engaging, with interesting characters and storyline (not to mention the gameplay, yeeesh 20 dice always keeps me on edge).

But also, yes, the characters - companions - are so unique and interesting, that I'm sure I'm going to spend another month replaying the game just to exaust every possible dialog option with them.

Especially with Astarion. Because damn he's such a fun character to have around, just to hear the party banter or his comments on quick events! The delivery of the lines is perfectly sarcastic, just chef's kiss.

I'm really looking forward to what more Baldur's Gate will reveal to us in upcoming year. At least something good came from the 2020
