omg happy valentines to pavol! his wife just left him and took everything in the divorce but he's probably hanging out with his boss jozef and favorite coworker matej to make it better. jozef is there to make sure he's not going to ruin the company's image by giving the worst karaoke performance ever. matej is there because he was paid & he wants to be there when pavol gives a horrible karaoke performance to end all karaoke performances. and this is all happening in a 14th century slovakian way of course. they're probably getting side eyed by the bartender even as he takes every coin he's given.
Do you think Jozef got a more regular chess set or one with fancy figures and intriguely cut board with leaves on the edges or something?

poor jozef had no idea what he was doing, introducing pavol to matej. i adore these guys genuinely. i was howling laughing by the time i got to the "dancing men" scene. then pavol's vulnerability when admitting that his reasons for drinking went beyond his wife's absence. i've literally only known these two for about four hours. and im in love with them.
