Idk how to explain it but claumand would be so guaranteed with fem!Armand. Like she convinces herself it's because she sees a bit of herself in Claudia, but like it's also Claudia is Lestat's daughter even if Claudia disowned him and unfortunately she is her father's daughter so fem!Armand gets to take something from Lestat but also gets Lestat again at the same time. But Claudia's difference is her insane loyalty which Armand wants because she's never had that she's never had someone be devoted like that to her so she'd want it and because she can manipulate and use it to her advantage. But also they both have been through similar things and can see themselves in the other

Okay listen I have sooooo many thoughts on this and how her presenting as female would change so much of the dynamic within the coven, particularly since she'd have to be even more visibly ruthless and in control at all times which then affects the weird love/hate relationship the coven has for Armand. I also feel like she'd unfortunately be way more sexualized by the coven but like lbr... they were all already fucking each other you can't tell me it wasn't a sex cult

I think the biggest differences would be with Santiago and with Claudia. At least with Claudia it has the potential to be wholesome? Like Armand would def see a bit of herself in Claudia and want to protect her but would also be harder on Claudia bc she needs to know Claudia can handle it, as fucked up as that is. Which also gets even more messed up filtered from Claudia's perspective because Armand would be constantly flipping between caring and hateful, and it doesn't make any sense to Claudia. Idk it'd probably be wholesome from Armand's perspective bc she thinks she's looking out for Claudia, meanwhile Claudia thinks Armand is trying to use her to get into Louis's good graces or just on a power trip like Lestat

Like we see how he treats Celeste and Estelle, and he's def mostly in it for sex with them. He's absolutely trying to pit them against Armand, but not just for funsies but because it's a fucked up way to see how much Armand cares about him? Which breeds resentments, but like also, Armand isn't playing those games either. Tbh. I personally think she'd have a threesome with Celeste and Estelle to show Santiago no man has that kind of power over her, but that's just me personally

Also the fucking... the fucking intersection of racism, misogyny, and orientalism that would be present in how Santiago views fem!Armand??? Especially on the orientalism imho because he would see Armand as "exotic" given the time period. She would be the ultimate representation of what he thinks he's owed (smart gorgeous woman with a man streak but who's submissive to him), but he can never actually have it, and that would piss him the fuck off. He'd absolutely see her from the perspective of her being an object to be won and ignore the fact she's not really all that into him
