Thomson House
Viewed here from Fennel Street in November 1977, Thomson House was a major headquarters for printing national and local newspapers. The building, situated at the corner of Withy Grove and Corporation Street, was previously named "Kemsley House" and later, "Maxwell House".
The printing business closed in 1986 and the site remained derelict until 1998, when work started on converting it to an entertainment venue “The Printworks”, which opened in 2000.
