Interview with Ferrari Collector Albert Obrist on the LaFerrari
The great Ferrari collector Albert Obrist visited Maranello to pick up his new La Ferrari in recent days. The Swiss national has been a Ferrari enthusiast since in the 1950s and bought his first Prancing Horse car, a 250 GT 2+2 (a four-seater forbearer of the FF) in 1962. In the intervening decades, Mr Obrist has built up one of the world’s most important Ferrari collections.
His most prestigious cars have included, for instance, the 250 TR59 that won the 12 Hours of Sebring in 1959, the 375 MM that finished first in the 24 Hours of Spa in 1953, and the 315 S which triumphed in the very last “real” Mille Miglia in 1957 with Piero Taruffi at its wheel. In this video clip, Albert Obrist talks about his love for Ferrari, the importance of restoration and, of course, his latest gem, the LaFerrari.
