❀ Share a headcanon you have not shared.

Um... uh... Oh!

He really likes fishing a lot. But not boring hook-and-line fishing. MANLY fishing with like a spear and shit. Not only is it good for teaching a lot of good ninja battlefield essentials (how to not alert your prey by moving too much, good eye/hand coordination, patience, attention to detail, speed and precision strikes), it’s also a lot of fun. You can bet that whenever there’s a river nearby with fishies good for eating, he’ll be there with his ninja pants rolled up to the mid thigh, and a sharpened stick in hand.

♧ Any part of their canon portrayal you dislike?

I don’t think anything comes to mind, although the supports he has with his mom char are “meh” at best. I really liked the subtle differences they showed between his character and Gaius, although there seemed to be much more similarities. Honestly, I just think he tends to be forgotten a lot as one of the least favorite second gen characters in Fates, and that makes me sad. Caldori and Rhajat get way more love than him, and while I can understand Rhajat since she’s the first girl character female units can marry, I don’t understand the fandom’s lukewarm reception of him as a whole. I just don’t.

W o w, this got off topic fast, I’m sorry for that. I have a lot of feels for Asugi, ok.

✘ Any unpopular opinions about your muse?

I feel like Asugi would grow up kinda sheltered and, even though he tries to be forward thinking (at least, more so than his dad), he’d have some backwards beliefs. We’ve already talked about his self denial that he’s bi, but he’s also kinda cissexist. While he can respect different gender expressions, so someone like Forrest would have his support, he doesn’t really GET transgender people. He can learn, but I feel like it would be hard for him to grasp initially, but I don’t think it makes him a bad person. Just... ignorant.

I think that’d be an unpopular hc because it seems like everyone’s characters are pretty great about understanding this stuff, and I don’t want to make it seem like these sorts of beliefs are ok or accidentally trigger bad gender feels in some of the muses (or muns, for that matter), which is why I’ve kinda left this topic alone as a whole. But I thought I’d mention it for the sake of the meme.
