seoul-net is hosting a contest! It is a single round competition so everybody gets an opportunity to make it to the top 5! Winners get video promotions on baekhsong’s and snapbaek’s channels. 

Before you read on, this contest is for seoul-net members only. Go apply if you wan’t to participate! :^)

What is an au!?

AU

AU simply means alternate universe in fan fiction forums. You take a famous person and make them unfamous, make them "normal."

There has been a rapid growth in au! tropes in our editing community, so we decided to host a festival tackling just that. Your task is to edit a 30 second or longer video around the trope ‘forbidden love’. Take this as a challenge; build whatever storyline you like, your world can be as established as you want it to be, or very vague. It can have a sad, happy, or an open ending. Maybe it’s a polyamory ending, or a tragedy. You can base it off another universe, a movie, a book, a fanfiction! Get inspired and creative - use this opportunity to test your limits; our intention is for you to try something new but also have a great journey, so don’t feel overwhelmed but do it for yourself! 

Our au! for this year is: Forbidden Love!

RULES

. we are looking for creativity

. a summary of your story can be mentioned in your description, but keep this short - we should be able to grasp your idea in your editing!

. you can incorporate additional themes into your video if you feel the need to, so long as you’re responding to our topic

. if you use existing plot in drama that fits the contest’s theme then you’re likely to score less in creativity

. multimedia allowed

. collaboration allowed

. 1 entry per person only

. no old works allowed

. include the provided logo in the beginning of your video to mark it as an entry for this contest

. we won’t be accepting late submissions

. Deadline: we featured a countdown on our blog so please follow it! (8th of July)

. like/reblog this post if you’re interested in taking part

[!!] k-edit AU! FEST17: judging in progress

Hello! Just wanted to thank to those who submitted, and if you missed the deadline, we might be considering late submissions (better late than never!!). A few notes/reminders;

. if you miss all deadlines, you are still more than welcome to post your entry - we don’t want all the hard work go missing! These will be featured on our excel sheet along with the rest of the entries.

. results will be posted on Wednesday 12 July CET (keep in mind, this could mean 23:59pm haha please bare with us). The results will come in a form of a promo video (featured on both of admins’ channels) as well as a summary post on our blog here, and an excel sheet where members get to read commentary on each entry from both admins.

Give yourself a well-deserved pat on the back, sit back and relax :^) We’ll take it from here~
