Susan Sarandon, Jessica Lange, Stanley Tucci, Catherine Zeta Jones, Jackie Hoffman, Alison Wright, Dominic Burgess, Kiernan Shipka, Judy Davis, and Ryan Murphy for Emmy Magazine, 2017.
So Bette’s friend and assistant Kathryn Sermak just confirmed that Joan had an unrequited crush on Bette and that was one of the reasons of the feud. What a time to be alive. (Source)
Also, from Bette’s Playboy interview, I’d like to quote:
“I didn’t intend to become one of those prim New England woman who are afraid of sex, didn’t want to reach my present age and not have experienced everything, had a full life. Now I’m a virgin again, but I guess I did all right for a little Yankee girl.”
Just put two and two together, people. In the form of fanfiction, please.
BETTE DAVIS
One of the most temperamental stars of all times - and one of the most talented too - Queen B, seen here in a still from Jezebel (1938) for which she won her second Oscar and the film in which she thought to be at her most beautiful.

I have been living for "Feud: Bette and Joan" on FX. Jessica Lange and Susan Sarandon -- portraying Crawford and Davis, are both phenomenal. What could have been a total camp fest is quite sad and heartbreaking. It's Ryan Murphy at his best.
