Barbara had seen her fair share of twists and turns. A ship at the bottom of the ocean was a portal to another place in time; there wasn’t much she felt could surprise her. Not in the grand scheme of heroes who could fly, and magic, and multiversal travel. That didn’t stop her from making a small list of what the fucks, oddities and stand-outs that had her running her hands through her hair and leaning back, that made her take an actual moment to stop and absorb whatever new and insane information had been thrown at her.
It wasn’t often enough to get her out of the Clocktower. No, normally she’d buzz to life on Dinah’s cell phone and tell her to go figure it out. She’d amass a small team of heroes and send them back to the time of dinosaurs.
Not this one. This one had her booking tickets to a show she could probably see for free. This one was written in bold on her list of what the fucks, wondering what it meant for her ‘I know everything,’ and beyond that their friendship that she hadn’t seen it coming. At all. And she liked Tony Stark well enough (liked Friday, would like to get to know her a little better some time), but it felt a little more jarring than time travel or flying or magic.
She rolled back until her wheels bumped against the wall softly, waiting until the backstage door opened and a familiar face walked through. “Is this a ‘congratulations’ ordeal, or a ‘please scrub every server in existence until it looks like it never happened’ ordeal? I’ll make it work, either way.”
