He swept the tear that fell from her eye with his thumb and she shuddered.

Why you should read it: This story is magnetic and beautifully written. Everything comes around full circle and every chapter is another insight into Caroline’s personal growth to becoming Klaus’ equal.

Klaroline Fic Rec 2020 (Day 2 - All-Human) : Don’t Remember Me by AddriannaDestiny @klaroline-events

Summary: They were nothing but two strangers living together now. Power, money and everything that came with it changed him and she couldn't recognize the man she once loved in him anymore until one tragic night changed everything. Fate delivered them a second chance, she just didn't know if it would be enough.

Warnings: Unrequited CAROLIJAHHHHHH. Also, YOU WILL CRY. It’s very angsty and fluffy at the same time

Why you should read it:

I was debating whether to recommend this story under the ‘All-Human’ category or the ‘Angst’ category because this falls under both. But anyway, I’ve been raving on and on about this story multiple times on this blog before but I’ve never made a proper recommendation/review for it, so here goes!

If you’re a fan of unrequited Carolijah, you’ll certainly enjoy this one. Sorry if it’s a little bit of a spoiler, but it’s the thing that really stuck to me about this story. 

The plot of the story surrounds a married Klaus and Caroline, who are going through a very, very rough patch. Klaus has become a completely different person after finding fame and success, and they’ve both been distancing away from each other. Caroline has almost had enough when they get into a car accident and Klaus loses his memory. He wakes up with a second chance in life and this time, he’s going to make things right. 

Other than that, I don’t want to give TOO much away, but just know that it’s a fantastic story and it’s worth all the applause.
